The journey of "A-Sketch-A-Day" started with a simple drawing of a soup cart in the centre of Delft, a small city in the Netherlands that I lived in for two years while completing my master's degree in architecture. Delft, and as a whole, the Netherlands, is known for their winding canals, and though you can't see it in the drawing, this soup cart was only inches away from a canal edge that had no guardrails!
