The platforms at Rotterdam Centraal, the main train station in Rotterdam, Netherlands, by Benthem Crouwel Architects look very different depending on the time of day you're there. The skylights covering the open air platforms have linear frit patterns that create shadows that dance along the roof structure throughout the day with the changing sun angles. It really animates the upper space in the station, whereas the ground plane needs no architectural animation with all the people running to catch their trains!
